What is Broad Spectrum CBD oil?

Broad spectrum CBD oil is a product obtained from the complete extraction of the hemp plant from which the THC has been removed. Thus, broad spectrum CBD oil is composed of numerous cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and plant substances. CBD broad spectrum oil is extracted from all parts of the cannabis plant: flowers, leaves, seeds and stems. After extraction, the oil undergoes a final refining step to remove all the THC. CBD is legal in Europe if the level of THC present in CBD products is less than 0.2%. Broad-spectrum oils thus contain 0% THC and are fully legal.

CBD broad spectrum oil contains phytocannabinoids such as CBG, CBN or CBC. There are different types of extraction such as oil-based extraction, solvent-based extraction or supercritical CO2 extraction. Our CBD oils are organically grown in Colorado using thesupercritical CO2 extraction process which ensures optimal quality.

CBD broad spectrum oil can be consumed directly by sublingual route for an almost immediate effect or orally in culinary preparations to attenuate the herbaceous and a little bitter taste associated with this type of CBD oil. It is also possible to apply CBD oil directly to the skin to soothe muscles or skin inflammation.

What is the difference between Broad Spectrum and other CBD oils?

There are three types of CBD oils:

• Isolated CBD oil which contains only CBD
• Full spectrum CBD oil which contains all the elements from the extraction process of the active elements of the hemp plant
• Broad spectrum CBD oil contains all the cannabinoids except THC.

Broad Spectrum CBD oil differs from full spectrum CBD oil in its composition. Indeed, during the extraction process, almost all the THC is removed. Thus, contrary to the oil of CBD full spectrum, the oil of CBD broad spectrum does not contain traces of THC because a stage was added at the end of the process of extraction, which corresponds to the elimination of the THC.

Otherwise, both oils share the same extraction process. CBD broad spectrum oil requires a refining step to remove the THC, but all the other elements are preserved, unlike CBD isolate oil. The latter corresponds to the purest form of CBD oil because it is composed of 99% of CBD, devoid of any other cannabinoid.

The percentage of CBD present in a bottle of broad spectrum oil depends on the concentration that is mentioned. We find oils with a low concentration of CBD of 5% for example, or oils with a high concentration of 30% CBD. A broad spectrum CBD oil at 5% contains 500mg of cannabidiol for 10mL of oil while a broad spectrum oil at 30% contains 3000mg for 10mL of oil.
